He received his MDiv and ThM from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC and is currently working on his PhD in Systematic Theology there as well. He has over 13 years of hands on ministry experience, 10 of which he worked directly with youth. In the last 6 years T. S. Myers has served as an ordained pastor. He covers three conclusions from the passage he is expositing: 1) Because believers live in the sinless one (Christ the Son) they are Children of God and won’t continue to sin; 2) Living in sin (as in making a continual practice of sin) means that one is a child of the devil and they will continue to sin; and, 3) You can know you are Children of God because you do not look like the devil.
